 ABOUT THE REGION: Our eagle knows nothing about literature or tales, its piercing look is a gift it has from birth,
which it uses naturally, just as when he breathes, flies or eats. Nestor doesn't even know that the
land here is known to man as the Valle d'Aosta, it only knows that it likes to dive into this sort
of plateful shaded with sky blue, green and white and it doesn't have a problem trying to find it,
as he gets there instinctively.
When it within close range, it easily recognises the great V-shaped descent starting from the square rock,
Bard Fortress, on which his ancestors also perched, a sheer but beautiful drop, from the top of the tall
mountains, along that narrow and invisible corridor, where the wind shakes its feathers so much that they
risk dropping off, and it whispers an obsessive groove in its ears, before disappearing in a nose-up,
leaving behind all shivers, while the blood returns to coursing through all its veins.
Nestor likes to reach this basin at dawn, entering it as it surfs on the blades of light flying to fill
its eyes and its mind with images , sounds and colours: transiting on brushstrokes both sharp and soft,
yet filled with sensations, from the mother earth to the sky and back down again, along the rivers,
in the sky blue circles that are the lakes, where everything is charged with life in complex forms
a natural wealth and, lower down, men and animals move around, in contrast with its geometries, along
mysterious itineraries, seeing specimens of the earth and flowers, those that the humans observe and
protect in parks, such as the Gran Paradiso or Mont Avic. |
