The coast that stretches out around Friuli-Venezia Giulia embraces and holds different aspects of
the same sea: environments and landscapes that amaze the visitors with their contrasts and that
only here may be seen merging one into the other covering a short distance of a few kilometres;
it is right here that the Adriatic sea thrusts forward into the heart of this new Europe and
brings together, looking out of the window onto the Mediterranean, the Latin, Germanic and Slav
civilizations.
